1. Ergonomic Office Chairs & Task Seating

Task chairs, swivel executive chairs, and desk seating undergo frequent mechanical adjustments and continuous dynamic movement.

Gas Lift Cylinder Care: Keep the center pneumatic cylinder free of dust, hair, and grit. Wipe the chrome or black cylinder column periodically with a dry microfiber cloth. Never apply household spray lubricants (like WD-40) directly to the piston seal, as this can degrade internal hydraulic gaskets.
Caster Wheels & Wheel Bases: Carpet fibers, pet hair, and floor debris naturally accumulate inside caster wheel housings over time, causing wheels to drag or scratch floors. Turn the chair upside down every 3 to 6 months to remove tangled hair or debris from the caster axles. For delicate hardwood or laminate flooring, we recommend using a protective desk floor mat or soft polyurethane casters.
Tension Knobs & Recline Mechanisms: Periodically inspect the tilt-tension knob and height levers beneath the seat pan. If squeaking occurs, apply a tiny drop of silicone-based mechanical lubricant strictly to the pivot hinges, keeping it away from fabric, foam, and gas cylinders.

2. Fabric & Mesh Seating Upholstery

Routine Vacuuming: Dust, skin flakes, and microscopic particles act like fine sandpaper against woven fibers under repeated sitting pressure. Vacuum fabric cushions and mesh backs twice a month using a soft brush attachment on low suction.
Immediate Spill Protocol: Blot spills immediately using a clean, dry, absorbent white microfiber towel or paper towel. Do not scrub or rub aggressively, as friction forces liquid deeper into the high-resilience foam core and damages delicate surface weaves.
Spot Cleaning: For lingering stains, use a mild, solvent-free upholstery shampoo or diluted gentle clear dish soap in lukewarm distilled water. Always test a small hidden area first (such as the underside of the seat) to ensure colorfastness. Allow the fabric to air dry completely away from direct heat sources.

3. Faux Leather (PU) & Bonded Leather Surfaces

Weekly Wipe-Down: Wipe surfaces weekly with a soft, slightly damp lint-free cloth to remove sweat, body oils, and dust. Dry immediately with a clean towel.
Avoid Solvents & Disinfectant Wipes: Never use alcohol, bleach, harsh degreasers, or abrasive cleaning wipes on faux leather. These chemicals strip the protective polyurethane topcoat, resulting in premature peeling, stiffness, and cracking.
Scratch Prevention: Keep sharp objects such as keys, rivets on denim jeans, and pet claws away from seat cushions to prevent puncturing the surface membrane.

4. Bedroom Furniture & Wood Surfaces

Bed frames, nightstands, and dressers require stable indoor environments to maintain their structural beauty and finish.

Dusting & Gentle Cleaning: Dust surfaces weekly with a dry microfiber cloth following the grain of the wood. For sticky spots, lightly dampen a cloth with clean water, wipe gently, and immediately buff dry with a second dry cloth. Never leave damp items or glasses sitting directly on wood tops.

Climate Control: Wood and engineered wood panels naturally react to extreme temperature and humidity swings. Maintain consistent indoor relative humidity (35% to 50%). Avoid positioning headboards, dressers, or nightstands directly against heat vents, space heaters, or in continuous direct sunlight, which can cause panel warping or localized finish fading.
Drawer Runner Upkeep: Avoid overloading nightstand or dresser drawers beyond their rated capacities. If wooden runner channels become stiff, rub a small block of dry paraffin wax or beeswax along the wooden glide tracks to ensure a smooth, silent glide.

5. Fasteners, Bolts & Joint Tightening

6. Safe Moving & Handling Guidelines
